Pearls of Destiny was founded in November 2025 by Lahnee’ Piner, an experienced youth mentor and career coach in Cecil County. The organization has obtained a 501(c)(3) nonprofit status to expand its eligibility for grants and philanthropic support.
The mentor team includes social workers, nurses, educators, special educators, and career coaches, many of whom hold bachelors and masters degrees. All mentors serve as volunteers and are committed to modeling the program’s core values: purpose, growth, confidence, compassion, integrity, leadership, and sisterhood.
Pearls of Destiny is open to all girls ages 11–17 regardless of background. The program is committed to equity, inclusivity, and ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to discover her potential and walk boldly in her destiny.
