Dawn Branch

Dawn Branch has been a dedicated member of the Cecil County community since 2004. She is a proud mother and grandmother who is deeply committed to serving others both professionally and personally.

Dawn currently serves as an Administrative Assistant for Cecil County Public Schools, where she supports initiatives within Early Childhood Education, the Judy Center, and Student Services. Prior to her work in education, she was a successful small business owner, operating a travel agency from 2007 to 2021.

Her passion for education and community advocacy led her to serve two terms as an elected member of the Cecil County Board of Education, including five years as President. During her tenure, she championed initiatives to strengthen the local education system and worked to support students, families, and staff across the county.

In 2024, Dawn was elected as the Council Member for the Fifth District, representing North East and Elkton. In this role, she is focused on strengthening government accountability, prioritizing essential

services within the county budget, and developing long-term strategies to improve the overall quality of life in Cecil County.

Dawn holds a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Business. She is also a graduate of the Cecil Leadership Institute.

As a member of the Pearls of Destiny Board, Dawn is passionate about empowering young women and serving as a strong example of leadership and resilience. She believes in the power of growth and perseverance, living by the words, “It’s not how you start that’s important, but how you finish.”
